Maths – 2D Shapes.

Ben can identify and name many 2D shapes. He can analyse their properties ( sides, angles,) and can create and use shapes in a variety of ways. Ben can also identify and make symmetry.

My Writing Rubric.

This is my Writing Rubric. We assessed my writing on 9-9-10. It shows I always use full stops, my writing makes sense, and Imatch my illustrations to my writing. My next learning goals in writing are to leave spaces between the words, and to use capital letters at the start of sentences.

Information Report Writing Assessment.

Ben completed this writing task with no teacher support. He searched for information, sorted it and matched it to headings. He used simple present tense. He used identifying verbs (are), and action verbs (eat, swim), as well as some technical vocabulary. He illustrated his writing appropriately.

Technology

In technology we designed and made an ogre after reading ” Jack and the Beanstalk .” Firstly we had to cover our box with coloured  paper. Here is my ogre.

Water Art.

In science we are exploring the properties of water. We used coloured water to paint a portrait of ourselves. Firstly we did outlines with black texta. We found it was harder to paint with water than with paints!
